Going to be in the Washington DC area before May 12?

If not, you better make plans to visit the National Geographic museum's Birds of Paradise: Amazing Avian Evolution exhibit in DC, a "highly interactive" display and narration of the culmination of 8 years of work to document all 39 known species of Birds of Paradise, found only in New Guinea (Blue Bird of Paradise pictured). US national tour to follow.

These unique birds are known for their fantastic displays and quirky behaviors that have evolved to attract mates, which of course you can view on YouTube.
