The Giraffe Weevil of Madagascar!

This increadible creature,Trachelophorus giraffa, commonly known as the Giraffe Weevil for some obvious reasons, is endemic to Madagascar.
It is sexually dimorphic, meaning that males differ greatly than females in their morphology, with the males usually sporting a neck that is 2-3 times longer than that of average female.
This long neck is mostly used in fighti
ng alone, while the female, uses her short neck to build a nest of great complexity (Video 1).
After the breeding time, the pregnant female will roll and secure a leaf of the host plant, 'Dichaetanthera cordifolia' and 'Dichaetanthera arborea', small tree in the family Melastomataceae, and then lay a single egg within the tube. She will then snip the roll from the remaining leaf which falls to the ground and becomes a nice incubation place that aids in preparation of the egg hatching.
